Backed by private equity firm, Pemba Capital Partners, Curatio and RxMx have merged to form RxPx, the upcoming global leader in patient management software for life sciences companies.

Investors, learn how you can back Health Transformers like Lynda Brown-Ganzert through the StartUp Health Moonshots Impact Fund.

StartUp Health portfolio company Curatio is expanding their mission of leaving “no patient alone” by merging with mental health patient experience platform RxMx. The combined entity, now called RxPx, is aiming to reduce burden on doctors and support specialty therapy patients around the world with their patient management software for life sciences companies. The merger is backed by Australian-based private equity firm Pemba Capital Partners.

StartUp Health first backed Curatio in 2014 when their purpose was to improve treatment adherence and self-management using AI and peer support. Curatio uniquely combined social network theory with daily disease management tools–the result was a social health prescription.

At its core, RxPx is continuing to function as a digital social health prescription, providing patients with peer support and streamlining access to specialty therapy by automating as many processes as possible for physicians and therapists. The result of combining a by-patients-for-patients company with a by-doctors-for-doctors company is burden relief for both patients and physicians.

“The need for a social health prescription is increasingly urgent and the level of physician burnout is a serious concern for the entire ecosystem.,” says former Curatio and current RxPx CEO, Lynda Brown-Ganzert. “Any healthcare organization can use the RxPx solution and brand it for their program, therapy, clinic, or membership.”

RxPx is offering six solutions to fit the needs of individual healthcare organizations and patients. The Chameleon solution helps healthcare personnels and patients easily onboard and access specialty therapy. The Connect solution provides healthcare organizations with private, branded peer-to-peer patient apps that deliver personalized social support, education, coaching, and adherence.

These solutions are used in over 100 countries and are available in 15 languages, bringing Curatio’s — and now RxPx’s — mission of “No Patient Alone” to all corners of the world.

“We really are on a mission to transform lives,” says Brown-Ganzert. “No patient should be alone and without support when dealing with a health challenge, and no doctor should be without the tools to easily and safely onboard their patient onto a new therapy or program. We’re simply two passionate teams of doctors, patients, and digital experts that want to empower our customers and partners to deliver better healthcare for everyone.”
