“Patient satisfaction is one of the most crucial parts of any healthcare practice, so we chose a multidimensional EHR that provides vast clinical insights so we can provide exceptional care”

HEDIS is an essential tool for measuring and analyzing the effectiveness of population health planning efforts. The value-based care model allows HealthTexas Medical Group to track compliance across their patient population by integrating point-of-care alerts and patient reminders.

“Patient satisfaction is one of the most crucial parts of any healthcare practice, so we chose a multidimensional EHR that provides vast clinical insights so we can provide exceptional care,” said Kip Porter, director of clinical applications at HealthTexas Medical Group. “With HEDIS, data is accessible in real time, all in one place, which helps our providers meet quality measures and streamline their systems to provide greater patient satisfaction.”

In 2022, HealthTexas Medical Group saw a substantial quality measurement improvement using the (HEDIS®) platform. HealthTexas Medical Group saw quality measurement rating increase in screenings:

  • Diabetic eye exams increased from 1-star to 5-star rating
  • Blood pressure control and colorectal screenings rose from 3-star to 5-star rating
  • Breast cancer screenings grew from 4-star rating to 5-star rating

“The work that HealthTexas Medical Group does is important for ensuring that everyone has access to comprehensive healthcare,” explained Girish Navani, CEO and cofounder of eClinicalWorks. “Our goal is to equip providers with solutions that streamline health planning efforts to improve patient satisfaction and promote better medical outcomes for all. Our comprehensive healthcare population tools can track compliance and provide actionable analytics to help providers set quality measure standards and focus on patient care.”
