KPJ Healthcare Berhad has entered into a collaboration with Pine Labs, a leading merchant commerce omnichannel platform, to offer flexible payment options for its patients. This also marks the first of its kind service to be offered at hospitals across Malaysia.

Through the collaboration, payments for KPJ Healthcare’s medical services can be made at Pine Labs’ point-of-sale terminals located at the hospital’s payment counters, via debit or credit card. The Pine Labs platform provides a unique option of converting the payment into a zero-interest instalment plan through its extensive network of 14 banking partners. The instalment plan is available for charges above RM500 for a period of up to 24 months via debit or credit card.

Pine Labs’ Point of Sale (“PoS”) terminals also enables Buy Now Pay Later (“BNPL”) instant conversions and accepts digital payment via popular E-Wallet platforms, including Touch N’ Go, Grab Pay, Boost, WeChat Pay, Shopee Pay, and Alipay, among others.

As part of the first phase of the implementation, more than 30 Pine Labs terminal has been deployed in KPJ Healthcare’s hospitals in the Central and Southern Regions, while subsequent roll-out in the remaining KPJ Healthcare hospitals will be carried out in phases. Full deployment is expected to be completed by the first quarter of 2023 (“Q1 FY2023”).

This will also empower our patients to plan their medical expenses better and allow for greater flexibility in getting the quality healthcare they seek.”
