These features will start rolling out in late August in GrammarlyGO, the on-demand, generative AI-powered tool that works everywhere students do, in time for the 2023/24 school year.

With these new features coming to GrammarlyGO, students can learn to use generative AI conscientiously—helping educational institutions uphold academic integrity and prepare students for the AI-connected workplace:

• Suggested ideation prompts encourage students to collaborate with generative AI—not let it do the work for them: Academic-focused GrammarlyGO prompts for students will focus on constructive and contextually relevant use cases aimed at helping students overcome the blank page problem, like “brainstorm topics for my assignment” or “build a research plan for my paper.”
• Feedback prompts and output explanations support student learning as they write: With GrammarlyGO’s suggested prompts for feedback, students can “evaluate the strength of a thesis statement,” “explore counterarguments,” and more. The outputs will include explanations, giving students a deeper understanding of GrammarlyGO’s recommendations so they can improve their critical thinking and communication skills over time.
• Auto-citations simplify citing generative AI, enabling ethical use and transparency for educators: Grammarly will now offer customers the ability to generate a citation for text generated by tools such as GrammarlyGO and ChatGPT.
