RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK – WRAL TechWire keeps tabs on the latest and greatest meetups, panels, workshops, conferences, application deadlines and all things happening in the entrepreneurial, technology and business communities in the Triangle and across North Carolina.

Following is a list of events coming up across Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill and the greater Triangle area through the end of September. Many events will be held in person, as some organizers are returning to a live format.

On the Menu: Automate, Eliminate & Delegate

Sept. 12, 12-1 p.m. @The Frontier (& online)

This hybrid workshop will cover strategies and systems to automate, eliminate and delegate tasks to achieve a lighter workload.

Raleigh Chamber Business After Hours

Sept. 12, 4:30-6:30 p.m. @The Loading Dock – Beryl Campus

Raleigh Chamber will bring together local professionals and business leaders for an evening of networking at The Loading Dock’s Beryl Campus in West Raleigh.

Application Deadline: Big Launch Challenge Pitch Competition 2022

Sept. 12

The Launch Place’s annual Big Launch Challenge event is returning this fall, offering an opportunity for 10 promising startups to compete for $15,000 in prize money. The 2022 Big Launch Challenge will be held on Oct. 13 in Durham.

Pendomonium 2022

Sept. 12-14 @Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts

Pendo’s annual product-led festival is back, featuring over 30 breakout sessions, keynotes, food and music, workshops and networking.

Triangle Biotech Tuesday

Sept. 13, 5:30-7:30 p.m. @Barrel Culture

Triangle Biotech Tuesday is a monthly meetup that connects scientific professionals across the RTP/greater Triangle area. Join to network with professionals from different industries. The group meets on the second Tuesday of every month.

JAMstack: Web Apps at Ludicrous Speed

Sept. 13, 6-8 p.m. @The McKimmon Center

This month’s All Things Open meetup will feature a talk from David Neal, a principal developer advocate at Pluralsight.

Helius Marketing Workshop

Sept. 13, 6-8 p.m. @Durham Bottling Company

Helius is hosting its first workshop since the start of the pandemic. Marketing specialist Adam Schultz will lead a session taking entrepreneurs and business owners through the product-market fit process.

Application Deadline: NCBiotech Flash Grant (Cycle 1)

Sept. 14, 12 p.m.

NC Biotech’s Flash Grant program provides up to $20,000 for short, tightly-focused research projects into high-potential technologies. Cycle 1 is open to sustainability-focused projects in life sciences sectors.

Create a Marketing Plan for Your Venture

Sept. 14, 4-5:30 p.m. @MOSAIC at Chatham Park

Hosted by Innovate Carolina and the Small Business and Technology Development Center, this free workshop will help local businesses find their target audience and expand their reach.

Bull City Summit

Sept. 14-18 @Boxyard RTP and other locations in Durham

This festival will bring together creatives, musicians, artists, entrepreneurs, scientists and innovators from across the Southeast for several days of networking, panel discussions, keynotes, performances and other events in Durham.

Raleigh & Durham Life Sciences and Research Triangle Summit

Sept. 15, 8-11 a.m. @Renaissance Raleigh North Hills Hotel

This half-day conference will feature panel discussions covering the latest developments and investments in the Triangle’s life sciences sector.

Grow With Google: Make Your Website Work For You

NC State Engineering Career Fair

Virtual Tech Job Expo 101: How Does It Work?

Ahead of the Fall Virtual Tech Job Expo on Oct. 5., NC TECH will host an online tour of the Premier Virtual platform so employers and job seekers can organize their profiles and prepare to make new connections at the event.

2022 NC SBIR Funding Celebration Summit
