The International Myeloma Looks to LatentView Analytics to Improve Patient Care and Outcomes through the Power of Data

LatentView Analytics, a global digital analytics consulting and solutions firm announced its collaboration with the International Myeloma Foundation, the first and largest global organization focusing specifically on multiple myeloma, through LatentView’s CSR initiative to leverage data for the greater good of society and the world.

Based on data-driven insights, LatentView built a comprehensive AI-powered knowledge platform to provide each patient with a custom dashboard displaying their personal data using HIPAA-compliant voice assistance, chatbots, and QR codes for additional accessibility. Patients are able to access all of their information in one place, including a hypothetical six-month journey, and can use their dashboard as a digital touch point to help them navigate their journey with the ability to make more informed medical decisions.

“In the current technological landscape, data has the power to shape and drive business and markets, but there is also a significant opportunity to harness data to improve the lives of individuals, communities, and the larger global population, said Krishnan Venkata, LatentView’s Chief Client Officer, “Our work with the IMF is a testament to how data can empower patients to make informed decisions for their health. We are proud to be at the forefront of using data analytics to advance the IMF’s mission and aid in the fight against multiple myeloma.”

According to the National Cancer Institute, there are an estimated 150,000 people living with myeloma in the U.S. as of 2018. With the goal of accurately measuring and reducing the time to hope for its patients in a repeatable and scalable way, the IMF is among the non-profits that have identified the ways in which leveraging data can accelerate their mission.

“Data analytics has historically been a largely underutilized resource for non-profit organizations,” said Yelak Biru, President and CEO of the IMF. “LatentView’s collaborative and patient-centric approach to understanding our needs and goals has allowed us to take advantage of both data and the massive advancements in AI and machine learning to significantly improve our patients’ quality of life. Most importantly, what they created and delivered in the form of visual dashboards has turned our data into actionable insights.”
