Versa Networks Earns Multiple Leadership Accolades in KuppingerCole’s SASE Leadership Compass Report for its Industry-Leading SASE Solution

Versa Networks, the recognized leader of single-vendor Unified Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), announced that it has been named a leader in every evaluation category in the Leadership Compass on Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) Integration Suites report by industry analyst firm KuppingerCole Analysts AG. Versa was distinguished as an Overall Leader, Product Leader, Market Leader, and Innovation Leader in KuppingerCole’s report published recently.

According to KuppingerCole, “Versa has multiple strengths in SASE: SD-WAN connectivity, authentication context examination, broad OS support, and DLP/CASB being some of the most noteworthy. Any organization looking for the full range of SASE features should have Versa on their shortlist for RFP evaluation. Customers are looking not only for a product leader, but for a vendor that delivers a fully Unified SASE solution beyond simple SSE that is feature-rich in both security and networking, and is continuously being innovated. This is indicated by Versa’s strong position in both our Product Leadership ranking and the Innovation Leadership ranking.”

KuppingerCole Leadership Compass is a measurement that provides an overview of a particular IT market segment and identifies the leaders within that market segment. This compass assists IT leaders in identifying the vendors and products/services that should be considered for product decisions. KuppingerCole independently evaluated 10 leading SASE providers in its Leadership Compass on SASE Integration Suites report.

“Versa Networks ranked in the leader section in every evaluation category,” said John Tolbert, Director of Cybersecurity Research at KuppingerCole. “Discrete networking and security solutions can work well, but there are significant advantages to combining them. Organizations using SASE Integration Suites can gain improved risk posture, better operational efficiency, and better user experience. Versa has a strong Unified SASE product that appeals to most organizations looking for a SASE solution provider.”

In the Product Leadership category, Versa SASE ranked first on overall product strength and the presence and completeness of required SASE features. Versa SASE is the only solution receiving the highest “Strong Positive” rankings for Security, Functionality, Interoperability, and Usability, based on KuppingerCole’s evaluation and comparative overview of the ratings of the products included in this report. Versa SASE was also determined to offer the most SASE functional areas as part of its SASE Integration Suite out of the products evaluated, including SD-WAN, secure web gateway (SWG), firewall (FW), user entity behavior analytics (UEBA), data leak prevention (DLP), cloud access security broker (CASB), and Browser Isolation (BI).

With thousands of customers, hundreds of thousands of sites, and a significant number of very large financial institution, retailer, manufacturer, high-tech company, public sector, and healthcare customers, Versa has demonstrated that it is the leader in mission critical networks of large global WAN, remote worker, cloud-first, and security-sensitive SASE deployments.

According to KuppingerCole, “SASE Integration Suites bring the power, flexibility, and costs saving potential of SD-WAN together with security posture enhancements afforded by integrating CASB, Endpoint Security, DLP, NGFW, SWG, RBI, and IAM in a Zero Trust Architecture. The foundational features we believe are necessary for SASE Integration Suites include SD-WAN (including VPN for endpoints), firewall, Secure Web Gateway, Zero Trust Network Access, Browser Isolation, Data Protection (Data Leakage Protection and Cloud Access Security Brokers), and Customer Support and Experience Management.”

“Versa is recognized as a Unified SASE leader in the industry, and it is rewarding to be ranked among the best SASE solutions again, this time in KuppingerCole’s Leadership Compass on Secure Access Service Edge Integration Suites report,” said Kumar Mehta, Versa Networks Co-Founder and Chief Development Officer. “Versa’s feature-rich SASE solution with tightly integrated security and networking, deployment flexibility and cloud onramp, combined with our natural language processing (NLP) and AI/ML-based anomaly detection, troubleshooting, and prediction capabilities is proven critical for organizations as they map their direction to SASE. Versa’s Unified SASE meets industry demand and requirements that appeals to most organizations looking for a cloud-native security provider.”
