The growth of cell and gene therapies and mRNA therapeutics has increased demand for purified, high-quality plasmid DNA (pDNA). However, being quite distinct from traditional protein therapeutics, plasmid production and purification pose unique challenges.
In this GEN webinar, our expert panelist will tell us more about a design of experiment (DoE) study to evaluate and optimize POROS Anion Exchange (AEX) resins for pDNA capture in the downstream process. Dynamic binding capacity (DBC) for a particular pDNA was determined for various POROS AEX resins, as well as optimum process conditions and operating parameters. This methodology can be utilized to evaluate POROS AEX resins for various pDNA downstream purification schemes.
