Here’s our exclusive roundup of upcoming events happening across North Carolina through the end of November. Included are the latest meetups, conferences, workshops, application deadlines and networking events happening in Asheville, Charlotte, the Triad, Wilmington and other parts of the state.

Many events will be held in person, as some organizers are returning to live events. Others will be held virtually and are noted as such.

In this monthly event, entrepreneurs local to Robeson County will present their products/services to peers and network with the startup community.

Startup Ethics Roundtable

This monthly panel event will include a roundtable discussion on the ethical issues facing startups and businesses. Tickets are free and open to Davidson College students and the broader community.

The Future of the Life Sciences Industry in Wilmington

Nov. 10, 1-5 p.m. @UNCW MarBioNC Center

This half-day event will feature startup presentations and two panels discussing alternative funding sources and Wilmington’s support for startups.

HBCU Virtual Hackathon Competition

Nov. 11–15 @Johnson C. Smith University (& online)

BlkTech Interactive will host a startup weekend-style event that brings together HBCU students, faculty and community members to develop solutions for improving health outcomes, education and community violence. The program culminates in a pitch event where teams compete for a $3,000 prize, national media coverage, coaching and more.

Global Entrepreneurship Week Charlotte

Nov. 14–20 in Charlotte

Innovate Charlotte will host a week-long celebration of Global Entrepreneurship Week, featuring a fintech venture conference, talent pitches, a hackathon, panel discussions and more.
