Here’s our exclusive roundup of upcoming events across North Carolina through the end of March. Included are the latest meetups, conferences, workshops, application deadlines and networking events happening in Asheville, Charlotte, the Triad, Wilmington and other parts of the state.

Many events will be held in person, as some organizers are returning to live events. Others will be held virtually and are noted as such.

Entrepreneurs, UNC Wilmington faculty/staff and students can attend this workshop to learn about how to raise capital for a startup. Topics include SBIR/STTR grants, bootstrapping, debt financing, venture capital and angel investing, crowdfunding, convertible debt and other types of funding.

NC Main Street Conference 2023

The annual statewide NC Main Street Conference appeals to anyone interested in downtown revitalization and sustainability across North Carolina.

HKY4Vets Virtual Hiring Event

March 22, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. (online)

This hiring event will be geared toward transitioning military and military spouse talent, recent alumni and rising juniors/seniors at local universities/colleges. The program will also include participation from employers across Catawba, Burke, Caldwell, Alexander, Lincoln and McDowell counties.

Application Deadline: NCBiotech’s Flash Grant Program

March 22, 12 p.m.

For its Flash Grant program, the North Carolina Biotech Center is looking for innovative life science technology ideas with commercial potential. Up to $20,000 may be requested.

Open Source 101 2023

Hosted by All Things Open, this full-day conference will provide education and guidance covering open source, open web and open tech topics.

SBIR Training: Boone

Winston Starts 2023 Investor Forum
