An allegedly intoxicated boat driver crashed into the shore of the Lake of the Ozarks late Saturday night, sending the boat smashing into a home and ejecting all eight people onboard, authorities said.

The 2014 Nortech motorboat plowed into the lakeside house around 11:55 p.m. at the 1.3-mile mark of the Osage Arm in Miller County, according to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The boat — powered by three outboard motors — first ran aground, then launched into the home and overturned, ejecting the passengers.

The victims, who are all from out of state, were men and women between the ages of 21 and 51.

Six of them were seriously injured, including the driver, a 47-year-old man.

Two others were listed with moderate injuries, according to the police report.

The boat driver, Adam Ramirez, of Huntington Beach, California, was arrested and charged with boating while intoxicated, according to an arrest report.

Police said none of the victims were wearing life jackets or other safety devices at the time of the crash.

Photos from the scene show the mangled boat overturned near the side of the lake. Just feet away, the back deck of the home and one of its walls appeared extensively damaged with debris strewn everywhere.

The boat was loaded on a trailer and removed on Sunday night, police told CBS News.
