Hapbee Technologies, Inc.’s (TSXV: HAPB) (OTCQB: HAPBF) (FSE: HA1) sleep aid technology has been awarded the Nexus Certification as an effective tool in suicide prevention among the United States military community.
The company announced on Monday that it received the certification from the Grey team, which is a privately funded non-profit that aims to improve the personal health and wellness of soldiers and military veterans to prevent suicide.
The organization provides programs for post-traumatic stress disorder, chronic pain, self-medication and isolation. The Grey Team has been using Hapbee’s Neckbands and Smart Sleep Pads as part of its Operation Phoenix for the last two years.
The Grey Team’s programs include one on one consultations and a personalized wellness program to help Veterans.
“Hapbee has become a critical component of our suicide prevention and wellness program, offering our service members an effective alternative to chemicals, drugs, or stimulants without any lingering side effects,” Grey Team’s founder and President Cary Reichbach said.
“It’s a real game-changer because the results are immediate and can be used from home or, for that matter, anywhere.”

Hapbees technology is based on delivering ultra-low frequency electro-magnetic “biostreams” that mimic caffeine, nicotine and melatonin which are delivered digitally through Hapbee-powered devices, such as the Smart Sleep Pad and Neckband.
“This recognition from Grey Team is among the most gratifying confirmation of the mission we are on at Hapbee to improve peoples’ lives – especially members of our military who have given everything in support of our freedom,” said Yona Shtern, Chairman and CEO of Hapbee.
“We plan to proudly display the Nexus certification on all our products moving forward. There are roughly 19 million veterans in the United States alone, and we intend to continue to develop working relationships with Grey Team and other public and private veteran support organizations to help as many veterans as we can.”
Hapbee stock stayed flat on Monday at $0.08 on the Canadian Ventures Exchange.
The company recently partnered with Reputable Health to create personalized sleep routines that will use artificial intelligence that analyze consumers’ sleep data gathered from Reputable Health’s platform.
Last February, Hapbee partnered with LocoMobi World to build an app that will use Hapbee’s Focus, Boost and Alert biostreams to keep drivers awake and decrease accidents on the road.
Sleep tech and supplements market is rising
According to the analytics firm Visiongain, the sleep technology market is expected to rise from its value of US$16 billion in 2022 to over US$107 billion by 2033. More sleep gadgets and supplements to combat sleep deprivation and improve quality are coming into market.
Key players operating in the market include Beddit, owned by Apple Inc (NASDAQ: AAPL), Xiaomi, Sleep Country Canada Holdings (TSX: ZZZ), Compumedics Limited (ASX: CMP), Koninklijke Philips N.V. (AMS: PHIA), ResMed (NYSE: RMD), Nihon Koden (TYO: 6849) and Oura Health.
In July last year, the company Eight Sleep released the newest version of its biometric and health-tracking sensor device, Pod 3. The device is a mattress-temperature control device that has an intelligent sleep system that will automatically adjust the temperature of an individual’s bed based on their body temperature, sleep stages and environment.
In September last year, Xiaomi Corporation (HKG: 1810) was able to develop the new Xiaomi MIJIA Smart Pillow through a crowdfunding campaign in China, which utilizes AI and sensors to monitor health and fitness metrics such as heartbeat, snoring, breathing and body movement.
As for supplements, some companies are testing new mushrooms to help with sleep. Lucy Scientific Discovery Inc. (NASDAQ: LSDI) recently launched a unique blend of Amanita muscaria and Reishi mushrooms combined with other nootropics to improve sleep quality.
The Government of Canada is also investing $1.1 million to further support a Sleep Research Consortium engaged in studies to promote better rest and overall well-being.
