This week’s health innovation funding included a $3M grant from the US Department of Veterans Affairs for StartUp Health portfolio company Televëda. The Phoenix, AZ-based startup’s winning submission, Project Hózhó, is a mental health app that aims to reduce suicide by military veterans on the Navajo Nation. <source>

Other reported health tech funding this week included:

Axena Health, a Newton, MA-based women’s health company that makes a pelvic health digital therapeutic, raised $25M from AXA IM Alts. <source>

MDI Health, a Tel Aviv, Israel-based AI platform that automates the optimization of personalized medication treatment, raised $20M led by Intel Capital, with participation from Maverick Ventures Israel, Hanaco Ventures, Welltech Ventures, Arc Impact, Basad Ventures, Fresh.Fund, Jumpspeed Ventures and Richard Montwill. <source>

Nextkidney, a Bussum, Netherlands-based company focused on improving the quality of life of dialysis patients, raised €11.9M ($12.6M) from investors and crowdfunding. <source>

Skin + Me, a London, UK-based personalized prescription approach to skincare, raised £10M ($11.7M) led by Octopus Ventures. <source>

IncludeHealth, a Columbus, OH-based provider of musculoskeletal technology solutions, raised $11M led by CincyTech, with participation from Tamarind Hill. <source>

Rhaeos, an Evanston, IL-based clinical stage medical device company focused on the care of people with hydrocephalus, raised $10.5M led by the Steele Foundation for Hope, with participation from Creative Ventures and Lateral Capital. <source>

Quell, a London, UK-based fitness gaming developer, raised $10M led by Tencent, with participation from Khosla Ventures, Heartcore Capital, Social Impact Capital, and Naval Ravikant. <source>

Natural Cycles, a Stockholm, Sweden-based women’s health company focused on cycle tracking and birth control, raised $7M led by Samsung Ventures, with participation from Heartcore Capital, Headline, Bonnier Ventures, and EQT Ventures. <source>

Nanite, a Boston, MA-based AI-driven design platform focused on next-gen gene delivery, raised $6M led by Zetta Venture Partners, with participation from Arkitekt Ventures. <source>

Thatch, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of a healthcare benefits platform for startups, raised $6M led by a16z and GV, with participation from Lux Capital, Quiet Capital, Not Boring Capital, and BrightEdge. <source>

Goose, a Vancouver, BC-based insurtech company offering cancer insurance, raised $4M led by Axis Insurance Managers, with participation from Impression Ventures, Real Ventures, and Manchester Story. <source>

Statera, a Brookline, MA-based company trying to solve the physician compensation and attrition issue, raised $2.5M led by DWP Capital, with participation from Revenue Capital. <source>

Previa Medical, a Lyon, France-based startup specialized in developing predictive medical devices, raised €2.1M ($2.2M) from Kreaxi, M2care, Veymont Participations, Hopla Memory, CCI Capital Croissance, Holding Seraip, Bpifrance, and BNP Paribas. <source>
