RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK – WRAL TechWire keeps tabs on the latest and greatest meetups, panels, workshops, conferences, application deadlines and all things happening in the entrepreneurial, technology and business communities in the Triangle and across North Carolina.

Following is a list of events coming up across Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill and the greater Triangle area through the end of December—including several holiday parties and New Years-themed events.

Many events will be held in person, as some organizers are returning to a live format.

Current & Emerging Technologies Conference

Dec. 5 (online)

This one-day event, hosted by the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants, will provide a briefing on the specific applications and technological advancements driving organization-level initiatives today.

Lunch & Learn: Best Practices for Startup 

Dec. 6, 12-1:30 p.m. Raleigh Founded (Warehouse location)

This lunch and learn, led by Benji Jones of Innovate Capital Law, will cover the various considerations of business formation, such as IP ownership, choice of entity, founder’s issues and more.

Downtown Techies Raleigh Happy Hour

Dec. 6, 5-7 p.m. @Lynnwood Brewing Concern

The Downtown Techies Happy Hour event series is back at Raleigh’s Lynnwood Brewing Concern. Join to network with peers.

Dolphin Tank: Health Tech in the Triangle

Dec. 6, 5-8 p.m. @Alexandria Center for Advanced Technologies

This pitch event will showcase women-led startups that are developing health tech solutions. The program includes presentations, expert panelists, audience participation and networking.

Code for Durham: Civic Hacking Session

Dec. 6, 7 p.m. (online)

Code for Durham brings together technologists, designers, developers, data scientists, map makers and activists to collaborate on civic technology projects. Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of every month.

1 Million Cups RTP

Dec. 7, 9-10 a.m. (online)

1 Million Cups, presented by Kauffman, is a weekly informal pitch event for the startup community. Join for free coffee and entrepreneurial support as local startups deliver their presentations.

Learn How to Avoid the Pitfalls of Product Development

Raleigh-Durham Veterans In Residence Showcase

Dec. 7, 5-7 p.m. @WeWork Raleigh

This event brings together Durham-based startup founders and small business owners to connect for networking and support. This month’s edition will include a holiday market featuring products/services from local businesses.

For its Flash Grant program, the North Carolina Biotech Center is on the lookout for innovative high-potential life science technology ideas. Up to $20,000 may be requested.

2022 CXO Online Auction

Dec. 7-9 (online)

The winning bidders of this online auction get the opportunity to meet one-on-one with tech CIOs CISOs and other CXOs. The auction supports NC TECH’s statewide programs, including the Founder’s Scholarship for young women seeking engineering and/or technology-related degrees at higher education institutions.

LaunchBio: Using Tech to Innovate Decentralized Clinical Trials
